This Sunday we have the 'uncomfortable' message from the gospel of Mark in which Jesus tells a good man that he needs to give away all that he has, all his riches, to be sure of a place in Heaven. I don't think that is the point.
The point is, no matter that you obey the commandments. You must do more. You can't just obey the 'don'ts' - you have to do positive things. Don't satisfy yourself with saying I didn't commit any sins. Ask yourself, "What did I do?" "What did I give?" "What did I do for others?" That is the point.
