WHEN I WAS A KID

I remember my first real Halloween costume.  I was seven or eight, I think.

I was a Spaniard.  No, I'm not kidding.   I'd never seen a Spaniard - never even heard of one. No one knew what I was.  Even at that age, I was embarrassed.

This was a store-bought costume that someone gave us.  It included some baggy pants, open collared shirt, a scarf and a goofy hat. I refused to wear it the following year or ever again.

Now to when I was an adult.  Here is the 'ghost' I put up in the front of our house this year.




































Neighborhood dogs are barking at it.
