OIL - GASOLINE

Did you know - - - it costs an oil tanker $465,000 in fees to go through the Suez Canal.  Oil shipments coming from the Middle East, Saudi Arabia and neighboring countries, makes their most direct route to Europe and North America by going through this canal.  That $465,000 is added into the cost of the oil we buy from that part of the world.  Right now, with the price of oil depressed, some of the tankers are choosing to sail all the way around the continent of Africa to avoid the charge.  It's very interesting to look at all the costs related to getting gasoline to our pumps.
