The last line of Luke's Gospel which is read today is the one to think about. "Much will be required of the person entrusted with much and still more will be demanded of the person entrusted with more."
I assure you, we, and all in our country, have been entrusted with more. This is truly the land of plenty. Much is demanded of us. Much is expected.
