WHEN I WAS A KID

When I was a kid, (late 1940's and early 1950's) we went out to eat as a family about once a year.  I'm serious!  That's it!  We went to a very nice restaurant in Kentucky where we met up with some of my mom's relatives who lived over there.  Of course, we took her parents with us - we couldn't sneak out without them - they lived in the same house with us.

No!  No I didn't look at my cellphone or i-Pad while we were eating.
