INTERFAITH WISDOM

Islam is a faith that believes in one almighty God.  God in the Arabic language is Allah.   The scripture of Islam is the Quran.  The followers of Islam are called Muslims.  There are more than a billion Muslims in the world following the teachings of Islam.

Followers of Islam believe that there are five great Prophets; Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and Mohammad.  Mohammad is the last (600 years after Jesus) and greatest of these and the chief messenger of Allah.  His word is purest, truest, and final.  The Quran was written thirty years after his death.  It includes some but not all of the Bible and they believe it is inspired by Allah as transmitted by the Angel Gabriel to Mohammad.
