INTERFAITH WISDOM

A prayer:

If there is to be peace in the world,
there must be peace in the nations.

If there is to be peace in the nations,
there must be peace in the cities.

If there is to be peace in the cities,
there must be peace between neighbors.

If there is to be peace between neighbors,
there must be peace in our homes.

If there is to be peace in our homes,
there must be peace in our hearts.

Attributed to Chinese philosopher Laozi or Lao-Tzu who lived in the 6th and 5th centuries B.C.
He was the founder and a deity of Taoism; a traditional Chinese religion - and one of only five officially recognized by the Chinese government (PRC).
