RANDOM MUSINGS FROM THE TOP OF THE HILL

SPORTS - CINCINNATI STYLE

The Madness is finally here. It's also maddening.

🏀The Bearcats play at about 7:30 Friday night on the 'Left Coast' against Kansas State of the Big 12. Their task to get to the final four would probably include beating UCLA, Kentucky and North Carolina.  It could hardly be worse - the toughest region.

🏀The Musketeers play at about 6:50 tonight in Orlando against Maryland of the Big 10.  Their task to get to the final four would probably include beating Florida State, Arizona and Gonzaga.  It could hardly be better - the easiest region.

🏀Our fledgling Northern Kentucky University Norse made the tournament in the first year they were eligible.  They draw the unenviable task of playing their big brothers from down I-75 in the first round. UK is one of the favorites to win it all.

👉 Note that in the first two rounds, UC is in the South regional and has to play in Sacramento, California.  XU is in the West regional and plays in Orlando, Florida.  NKU is also in the South regional but playing in Indianapolis, IN.
💥The Bearcats got totally screwed.

🏈Bengals linemen keep leaving like rats from a sinking ship.  Now Domata Peko is taking his bushy brown hairdo to Denver and long tall Margus Hunt is heading across I-74 to the Colts.  Rex Burkhead, who looked like our savior at running back, ran off to the New England Patriots.   Like Andrew Whitworth, now a Ram, and  Eric Zeitler, now a Brown, they all have said, "Show me the money." and it wasn't the Bengals who showed the most.  +The Bengals did make a positive move - returning Andre Smith to the roster after he played with the Vikings last year.  The upcoming draft is very important but you can't count on many rookies their first year.

⚾The Reds are floundering in Goodyear.  Let's hope they have a good year.  The opener is April 3 - 18 more days.

😀
