RANDOM MUSINGS FROM THE TOP OF THE HILL

WHEN I WAS A KID

I only remember my dad taking me to a movie theater one time.  We went to a theater in Walnut Hills. We saw "High Noon."  It was 1952, if it was first run.  I was 7 years old.  This is a great, great film.  It won many awards but lost out to "The Greatest Show on Earth" for Best Movie.  Gary Copper won the best actor award for it.

Dad took me and my sisters to the drive-in theater a few times - the Twin Drive-In Theater it was called.  We saw the original "Godzilla" in 1955.  I'll never forget it - it scared me to death.
