SIRACH 27:30-28:7 PSALM 103 ROMANS 14:7-9 MATTHEW 18:21-35
This week all the readings are focused on sin and how God would treat the sinner. The simple answer to this is God will treat us as we treat those who offend us. Offend us is not limited to those people we know or have contact with. It means everyone - people of different nationality, different race, different creed.
Being repentant for sins is important but more important is how we treat others. "Love thy neighbor" is the key. Be sorry for your sins, but moreover, be kind and understanding and forgiving to everyone. This will stand you in good stead with our God.
