WEEKEND LITURGY

EZEKIEL 18:25-28     PSALM 25     PHILIPPIANS 2:1-11    MATTHEW 21:28-32

This week we can sum things up with "actions speak louder than words" or "it's never too late."  Both of these axioms are relevant to the Bible teachings this week.

Matthew hits us with another parable.  This time Jesus is speaking directly to leaders of the religious community.  It's no wonder they were instrumental in putting him to death some time later.  He told them the worst sinners could get into heaven if they came to believe in him but that they would never get into heaven because they would not change their thinking.  Zappo!  They didn't want to hear that.  They had no intention of changing - of admitting they were ever wrong.

Don't be the person unwilling to admit you are wrong.  Don't be the person unwilling to ask for forgiveness.
