JUST WONDERING

I went to the store to buy some olive oil last weekend.  I'm not much of a shopper.  This item mystified me.

Who checks to see if the olives are still virgins.  Can you only make olive oil out of virgin olives?  What does 'extra virgin' mean?  That seems to be the only way virgin olives come -  'extra virgin.'  I saw no 'virgin olive oil.'   Crazy business, this olive oil mystery.

While I was there, I picked up some clean x's.  They didn't have any dirty ones; thank goodness.
