DECEMBER 11

December 7, 1941, the Imperial Japanese Navy air services executed a surprise attack on our Naval base at Pearl Harbor in the Territory of Hawaii.  Immediately afterward, they declared war on the United States. 

Four days later, on this date in 1941, Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini announced that Germany and Italy declared war on the U.S.  We were in it all the way - on two fronts.
