I wrote a really neat entry for this blog yesterday but I post-dated it's publishing to New Years Eve. It fits that day. The work I did on it fried my brain. I not only could not think of another good thing to write, I forgot to take out the garbage. The back-up horn on the garbage truck woke me at five am but before I could react, it was on it's way.
This could be called brain drain but I'm afraid more accurately it is brain shrinkage. Not only do old folks lose muscle mass every day but the size of our brain shrinks, too. I don't want to tell you any more about shrinkage because you may decide not to grow old. I don't want to be responsible for that.
Miriam Webster offers a long list of descriptions for the brain of the elderly - the best being "addled". She defines it as 1. "having undergone organic breakdown" and 2. "suffering from mental confusion." That's it! That's us! Have a great day, young people!
😕!
