WATER

Lake Superior is the largest of our Great Lakes.  It has a surface area larger than any other freshwater lake on Earth.  It is truly superior. 

My guess is that this lake will some day provide drinking water and irrigation water to the American southwest.  Right now, the lake drains into St. Mary's River which connects it with Lake Huron and is the border between the State of Michigan and the Canadian province of Ontario.  Several large hydro-electric plants are located on that river.  I hope I'm not around when we have to decide which is more important; water or electricity.
