Here we are - the First Sunday of Advent. Four weekends shy of Christmas. Time flies faster every year.
The Gospel passage read this weekend is from Luke and his version of "you better be ready; you better be good, for Goodness sake." You know, "You better watch out, you better not cry, you better not pout, I'm telling you why." Because you don't know the day.
I guess He knew that people would prefer to wait until the last minute to do what they know they should have been doing all along. In a way, it's human nature...but it's not the way it should be. Don't wait until the last minute - you never know when the last minute will be. Do it now.
