INTERFAITH WISDOM

Baha'u'llah is the 19th century founder of the Baha'i' faith.  This religion, born in Iran, teaches a oneness of God, of Faiths, of people.  By oneness, they mean that there is just one God, the same God worshiped by all;  that, in essence, all true Faiths are the same and that all people are the same.  There are over 5 million adherents to Baha'i'.   Here is a Baha'u'llah prayer.

 

I have awakened in Thy shelter, Oh God

and it becometh him that seeketh that shelter

to abide within the sanctuary of Thy protection

and the stronghold of Thy defense.

Illumine my inner being, Oh my Lord

with the splendors of the Dayspring of Thy revelation,

even as thou didst illumine my outer being

with the morning light of Thy favor.
