Advice to my grandchildren;

Spend less than you earn.
Invest the difference.
To do this will require you to learn
 the difference between two everyday words:
"want" and "need". 

Write it down - literally. 
Post it on your refrigerator or bulletin board or iPhone screen. 
I guarantee it will smooth life's journey.
