CINCINNATI

Did you know that there is an opera being written in Cincinnati and is scheduled to be introduced to the world in 2019?  Amazing, isn't it.

Strange as it may sound, the working name is "Blind Justice."  Even stranger is the fact that it is based on a book written about the Ohio Innocence Project.  Mark Godsey is the author of the book.  He is a law professor at the University of Cincinnati.

Cincinnati musician and composer William Menefield is writing the music and New York based writer David Cote the libretto.  Menefield is a graduate of the Cincinnati School for Performing Arts and UC's College Conservatory of Music.

This opera is scheduled to be on the performance list of Cincinnati Opera when it returns to Music Hall next year.
