Is a burp a belch?

Is a belch a burp?

Burp - good;  Belch - bad.

I think they are the same bodily function but one has a much more unsavory connotation.  We burp babies after they have had their milk - the little darlings.  Old men belch after drinking beer - the uncouth louts.

This is so unfair to old men.  Is there no one who will protect old men from this type of unfair harassment?  There are groups all over the country whose only purpose is to protect a certain age, gender, ethnicity, religious persuasion, sexual orientation or disorientation, etc.   For mature men - Nada!

This is an old man screaming for help in the wilderness.  Protect your male relics; the vestiges of a time when men were men and women liked it.  (Burp!)  Ooops!  Excuse me.
