WEEKEND LITURGY

This week we celebrate the Feast of Pentecost.  Depending upon the time of day, you may hear different readings at Catholic services - but all with this theme.

This is the end of the Easter season.  Jesus has spent His time on earth and he has left.  His church has it's beginning right here.  The Apostles must know what is expected of them and have the courage to do it.  Jesus sends them the Holy Spirit to be their guide and their strength.

The Spirit is God, but like Jesus, in a different form.  We do not see the Spirit but he is here.  He is the voice in your ear - some call Him their conscience.   When you know the right thing to do, it is he who told you.   He gives you your sense of moral goodness.

Know that He is here.  Just listen!
