Yes, I know it is July 16 but I just had to pass this on.
The last day I worked was Friday July 13, 2012. On that day, the Dow Jones Industrial Averages closed at $12,777.09. The DJIA is an indicator of the value of large manufacturing companies in the US. It has been generally used to indicate the value of the whole stock market and as an indication of the health of our economy. (Its not all that but it is one indicator.)
Last Friday, July 13, 2018, the Dow Jones Industrial Averages closed at $25,019.41. That, my friends, is a huge increase - more than double. If you had money spread around in stocks of large companies, you may have doubled your money in six years. Good golly, kids. Save money and invest it wisely. Don't wait. Do it now. It can change your whole life.
