INTERFAITH WISDOM

Zoroastrianism is one of the oldest religions in the world.  Established in the 6th century BC, it holds that there is one creator God and that the world is a struggle between good and evil.  Most adherents are located in south Asia, Iran and Iraq or where these people have emigrated.  

I came across this prayer for peace by a Zoroasterian.  Good words.  

We pray to God to eradicate all the misery in the world;

that understanding triumph over ignorance,

that generosity triumph over indifference,

that trust triumph over contempt,

and that truth triumph over falsehood.

AMEN!
