Twenty to forty years ago, math teachers were admonishing students for using a machine to solve math problems.  I can still hear, "You wont always have a calculator in your pocket."  How wrong they were.

I wish fat didn't rhyme with pat.

Great advice for winning an argument:  Seize the moral high ground.

Every year I hear about a runner breaking a world speed record but no horse has ever come close to Secretariat's record in the Kentucky Derby.  Humans run faster and faster but not horses?  People keep improving but not horses?  What's up?
