RANDOM MUSINGS FROM THE TOP OF THE HILL

NOVEMBER 26

I bring this up because it may cause some of us a little deja vu - all over again.  On this date in 2000, Katherine Harris, the Secretary of State of Florida, certified George W. Bush as the winner of the State's presidential election which secured the national election for him.  It is the election that made "hanging chad" bad words in the Albert A. Gore Jr. household.

Katherine went on to win two terms as U.S. Representative from Florida's 13th district.  She then attempted a run for the U.S. Senate but was defeated.  She is now 61 and living the good life in Key West with a new husband she acquired last year.

W is living the good life in Dallas, Texas and trying to stay far away from politics.  He and wife Laura have dedicated themselves to helping wounded veterans and chasing tumbleweeds..

Big Al is living the good life in Nashville, Tennessee.  He left his wife Tipper of forty years and is now dating a California girl, Liz Keadle, a 50-something Democrat fund raiser.  Al can be seen at his Tennessee home wearing his Nobel Peace Prize medal and checking his outside temperature gauge.
