BEGINNINGS

Did you think GEICO was named after a lizard?   No, it stands for Government Employees Insurance Company.  I suppose they gave up the 'government employees' emphasis since we all pay taxes and, in essence, work for the government.

Did you think the Five Guys restaurants were founded by five guys?  Not exactly.  Jerry and Jane Murrell started the company when they had four boys.  True to her word, two years after opening their first restaurant, she had a fifth son.  They were young but the were "guys."

Can you think of a company named after a mountain?  Fuji is the highest mountain in Japan and the name of a multi-billion dollar imaging company.  Your last X-Ray, CT Scan or MRI was probably done on a Fuji machine.  In the old days, it was either Kodak or Fuji film in your camera.
