CINCINNATI

Here is the Municipal Seal of the City of Cincinnati.
 
The city was settled in 1788. 
The motto "Juncta Juvant"  means "strength in unity." 
The scales indicate justice and fairness. 
The sword indicates authority and power.
The staff with wings near the top and two snakes entwining it is called a caduceus.  It is the same symbol used by the medical community.  It indicates health.

The University of Cincinnati incorporates elements the City Seal into it's own.
