RANDOM MUSINGS FROM THE TOP OF THE HILL

THE WORD THIS WEEKEND

This weekend at Catholic mass you will hear the reading of the Passion of Jesus Christ.  It is the standard reading every year the week before Easter.  Everyone knows the story.

The one thing to remember is John 3:16.  Yes, the verse you used to see at sporting events on a placard held high by a rainbow haired man.  "For God so loved the world [you], that He gave his only begotten son, [to be brutalized, tortured and murdered for your sake]."

For whom would you give your son?
