The standard of currency in Saudi Arabia is the 'Riyal'. A riyal is worth about 27 cents in the US. You can abbreviate their currency as SAR or SR.
The 'Halala' is the subunit of the riyal and is a coin. It takes 100 halalas to make a riyal.
You need 3.75 SAR (or 375 halalas) to buy anything in the Dollar store. You young people might have to know this some day.
