Isn't it great that the French people chose as their capital their one city with an English name.  It makes it so much easier for us to pronounce correctly.


The first air units in the U.S. military were part of the Army's Signal Corps.  This was during the Spanish-American War.  It didn't become the Army Air Corps until 1926 - after World War I.  It didn't become the Air Force until 1947 - after World War II.
