A golfing partner gave me this line while playing Monday past.   He was explaining how hot it got on his farm in Oklahoma in the Summer. 

"It was so hot my mother fed crushed ice to the chickens so they wouldn't lay hard boiled eggs."

Adult giant pandas (panda bears) need to consume about 26 pounds of bamboo per day to survive.  Bamboo leaves, shoots and stems make up about 99% of their diet in the wild.  I'll not get into the gross repercussions of this diet.
