RANDOM MUSINGS FROM THE TOP OF THE HILL

12/22/2019

CINCINNATI

Forbes is one of the top financial publications in America.  The magazine is known for it's lists because they draw the attention of mass media.  One you may have missed is real recent.  They published a list of the thirty top entrepreneurs under thirty years of age in the field of advertising.  Two of the thirty are from Cincinnati.  Moreover, one of them heaped credit to his education here; and not to one of the major universities but to UC Blue Ash branch.

Ryan Thomas co-founded an Austin, TX-based company called Subvrsive.  They make VR (virtual reality), AR (augmented reality) and 360 videos for customers a long list of customers like P&G, Showtime, Amazon, Ford and Google to name a few.  Subvrsive has received an Emmy nomination for their work for Showtime.

In a media interview, Thomas credited his education in electronic media at UC Blue Ash with giving him the background to succeed.  This class of company is involved in XR (extended reality).  I think we have no idea how much of their magic we see now and how much more we will see in the future.
