CINCINNATI

Did you know that the City of Cincinnati has a poet laureate?    Indeed!   His name is Manuel Iris.

He was named in April, 2018 for a two year term.   He has a masters degree in Spanish and Spanish American Literature from New Mexico State.  Manual also has a PHD in Romance Languages from the University of Cincinnati.

Mr. Iris has published many Spanish language verses and also has an honored bilingual anthology of selected verses.   Manuel has taught both Spanish and English literature at DePaul Cristo Rey High School in Clifton.  He is a huge asset to the community.  We are blessed to have him.
