CINCINNATI

I made my annual trip to the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Gardens last Fall.  I love it every time I go.  The highlight of the day, this year, was that I was escorted by two beautiful young ladies.  

One of the real interesting attractions we managed to take in was the Cheetah Run.  Zoo staff put on a demonstration of just how fast 'the fastest animal on land' really is.   The cheetahs in the show are leash-trained and far from ferocious.  It was a very good, and free, show.  The animals are beautiful.  

I've noted on social media this Winter that a new cub has joined the cheetah family at the zoo ... an orphan.  Interestingly, to help it adapt and become social, the Zoo has paired it with a dog.  The two have become great friends and they run and play together every day.
