I'm really bummed out about the dearth of candidates remaining in the Democrat primaries.  It takes a lot of the fun out of it.  I guess I'll have to expand my focus for a few months. 

For instance:  the 1876 Democrat  National Convention was held in St. Louis, MO.  - the first convention held west of the Mississippi River.   They nominated Samuel Tilden of New York who lost to Rutherford B. Hayes of Ohio in the general election.
