WALLS
Today is Good Friday - traditionally it is the day that the death of Jesus Christ is remembered. All the events surrounding his death occurred in or around Jerusalem. Jerusalem was a walled city. At the time of Jesus, there were about six gates (openings) through those walls.
The 'Last Supper' took place at a home in a corner of the upper city inside the walls. Jesus and some of his apostles retired to a garden after the meal. That garden is well outside the walls of the city to the East. When Jesus was captured, scourged (whipped) and put on trial by Pontius Pilate, he was back inside the city. The carrying of the cross took him back outside the city walls to the hill called Golgotha north of the city. The burial place of Jesus was also outside the walls.

Walls are meant to protect. They keep things out as well as in. We all put up walls to protect ourselves. Try to remove the walls that keep you from doing what you know you should do. Let it be. Be vulnerable - it's ok.
