THEORIES

#1
Think about this one.  If you take a map of the United States of America and filled in each of the fifty states with a different color, how many different colors would you need in order to make sure no color of one state would be the same as an adjoining state?  Tada!  Only four!  They call this the four-color theory.  The theory expands to any country on any continent and even any outline you want to draw no matter the size or shape of the individual parts.  Only four!  Amazing!

It is theorized that every snowflake has six and only six sides.  Of course, no one has checked them all but the observance of any freezing crystal gives you the same answer under the microscope.  Snowflakes have six sides; each and every one.  They call this the six-sided snowflake theory.  Six!  Amazing!

Can you prove either of these theories?  Not well enough to satisfy some people.  I choose to believe it.

Do you have any theories?
