MIDWEEK PRAYER

Dear God, our heavenly father,

we honor you today.

We pray that the world comes to know you 

because to know you is to love you

and from you comes peace.

Please protect us from the evil one 

and help us resist the temptations of the world.

Feed our bodies and our souls;

fill us with your goodness

that we may carry you to others.

We make this prayer

through Jesus Christ, your Son,

who was sent here to save us.
