Records have been kept since 1899 on how many traffic fatalities occurred in the U.S.   The year with the most was 1972.  I assume that means that cars and highways have gotten safer since then.

Our Sun has activity (solar flares and sun spots) that runs in eleven (11) year cycles.  That means it is 11 years from maximum activity to minimum activity and then back again.  Currently we are on the way down toward a solar minimum.  Sun activity has some effect on our weather - maximum a little warmer and minimum a little cooler.  Grand solar minimums were devastating at one time in the Earth's history - now, we are better equipped to withstand the cooler weather.  Not to worry, say most scientists.

To say "Hello" to a Japanese speaker, say Kon'nichiwa (co' knee chee wa)   My advice:  If they say something to you in return, pretend you are hard of hearing and bow your head.

Saint Francis Xavier died over 500 years ago.  His body lies in a glass case in Goa, India.  It is mostly uncorrupted.  Several saints of the Catholic Church have been gifted with uncorrupted bodies after death;  including St. Julia Billiart, St. Catherine of Genoa
