Well, it's the eve of Christmas Eve. Two days before we celebrate the birth of Jesus. This week, let's send our prayer to God on behalf of all expectant mothers and the precious creation in their womb.
Dear God, you created the human family
and with it the joy of friendship, the joy of sharing,
the joy of helping you create new life in your image.
Hear our prayers today for all of your daughters
who now carry and await the birth of a child.
May Mary be their inspiration and guide.
May they have someone like Joseph at their side to share the joy.
We pray that each delivers safely, with good health for both mother and child
and we hope that all acknowledge that this is done
for the praise and glory of your name.
