This weekend at Catholic mass you will hear stories from Job and Paul and Mark which talk about the work we have to do.
In the first reading, Job is sounding a little like the older people I know. Indeed, his life was full of troubles and evidently he now feels it is near it's end. He is trying to be realistic; stiff upper lip and all that. But he sounds a whole lot like, "woe is me." Don't be that way.
In Paul's letter and Mark's gospel, both he and Jesus are talking about doing the job, they are called to do. That is a good lesson in itself. Life is much easier and more beneficial if we do what we are called to do.
Do you know your calling? I may not be able to give you a complete rundown but a good start would be; "to know God"
To know Him is to love Him.
Have a great weekend. I love you.
