MIDWEEK PRAYER

Risking indolence and sloth, I'm repeating my prayer from last week.  In fact, you may see it for the rest of  Lent.  I trust it will be okay.  Pray with me . . . and for me.

Lord Jesus,
I pray you walk with me these forty days.
Put your arm around my shoulder
and guide me toward your home.
Give me a tug
when it looks like I'll turn the wrong way
and a push
when it looks like I won't do the good I could.
Place your other hand
over my mouth
to remind me to speak with kindness
or over my eyes
to remind me to follow you blindly
and pull me from all my personal weaknesses.
Amen
