Our Father who art in heaven,
you have given us your beloved son to be our shepherd,
that our souls may be fed by his example and word
and that we can be nourished by his body and blood.
Now send the Holy Spirit to lead us
on our journey to life everlasting;
that we may be strengthened to withstand
the enticements and attacks of the world and the evil one.
