The word this weekend at Catholic mass is HUMILITY. Humility is the act of being humble. See Mark's gospel which will be read tomorrow.
Jesus Christ the king was humble. It was a trait He possessed that we as Christians should emulate. Jesus said that he did not come to give orders and laws but to serve. He did not demand that His followers serve Him - no, He came to serve them.
Of course, His teachings contain laws and direction. Don't get hung up on those. They are important but it is more important to be a servant - a servant of our fellow man. Do what you can for others.
Be humble. It wont do much for your self-esteem to be that servant - but that is what you should do.
Quit trying to raise yourself up - it is not all about you. Be satisfied with your reward in the afterlife. This life is short. Compared to eternity, it is less than a nanosecond.
Have a great weekend. I love you.
