The most expensive wrist watch ever sold at auction was a Patek Phillippe Grandmaster Chime.  In a Swiss action for charity, the new one-of-a-kind bracelet sold for $31.19 million.  Unlike many expensive watches, it was adorned with no diamonds or other jewels.  It was just hand crafted to perfection with extreme metals.  They have every-day watches for the masses that go for a mere million or so.

The largest conventional oil field in the world is the Ghawar Field in Saudi Arabia.  It pumps about 3,800,000 barrels per day.  This accounts for about 1/3 of the Saudi output.  They could pump much more if the markets would allow.

There's some controversy over the horsemen of the Apocalypse in the Bible;  some say War, Pestilence, and Death; others say Conquest, War, Famine and Death.  I was taught they were Stuhldreher, Miller, Crowley and Layden (the Notre Dame backfield of 1924).  Today, someone might say; Global Warming, Pandemic, Poverty and Famine.

When I was a kid in the 1940s, I remember that our grocer's son brought our groceries to the house and carried them into the kitchen.  That didn't go on too long before a large market was put up a couple blocks away.  Now we're getting back to the delivery of groceries.  Things go in circles.
