EASTER! Easter weekend. The word this weekend is ALLELUIA. Why?
Well, the definition of alleluia according to M-W is: "an interjection indicating praise, joy or thanks"
During every Catholic mass service there is a verse read, just before the Gospel reading, that we call the 'alleluia verse'. Yes, that is done every day of the year except during Lent. The Lenten season brings memories of sad things - of a time when Jesus suffered and died. Not exactly the time to show joy.
But, now we're there. Alleluia will return with Easter. Everyone knows the story. Easter is the most important day in the Christian world. It proved Jesus is God. It proved God has power over death. With God nothing is impossible. Alleluia!
Be joyful! Praise God! Thank the Lord.
Happy Easter! I love you.
