RANDOM MUSINGS FROM THE TOP OF THE HILL

THE WORD THIS WEEKEND

This weekend at Catholic mass we will celebrate the Trinity; Trinity Sunday, if you will.  It's a good time to do that, you see.  Last weekend, we celebrated Pentecost.  It is the natural order of events.

On Pentecost, fifty days after Jesus rose from the dead (Easter) and just a short time after we celebrate Jesus leaving the Earth (Ascension), we celebrated the coming of the Holy Spirit to the Apostles and those with them.  The Holy Spirit is the one on which the Church now, and forever, relies.   So we have the Trinity; Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  A single God.

It's now up to us to carry on.  To do our best.

Have a great weekend.  I love you.
