I'm losing it! I thought I had already done this entry. The readings you will hear at Catholic mass this weekend all reflect on God's forgiveness. Not only his forgiveness, but how to take advantage of the forgiveness available from God.
In the first reading from Genesis, God forgives all of Sodom (that evil town) even though only a very few of its people were good. In the second reading from Colossians, Paul reminds the people that God forgives all their offenses by allowing himself to be nailed to the cross.
In the Gospel from Luke, Jesus taught his disciples how to pray. He gave them what we call The Lord's Prayer. It is the best prayer and an outline for all other prayers. Not only did He do this, he impressed on them the importance of being persistent and patient. These are two very important aspects of prayer. Be persistent . . . and be patient.
Have a great weekend. I love you.
