THE WORD OF THE DAY

The word of the day, for the weekend, in fact, is PERSISTENCE.

Too often, I fear, modern day people are taken aback by persistent people.  It is not totally acceptable in our society.  It goes right along with being pushy, being pigheaded and stubborn.  Pushy, persistent people are not liked by many of us.  The crazy part of that is - this is what we teach our salespeople.  Be persistent!  There's a good reason for that - it gets the job done.  Sales is not about making friends - it's about making sales.

Are you too nice to be a salesperson?  Want to make friends so much that you refuse to be persistent?  Well, here's another take on that one.  Jesus and His Father have taught us to be persistent.  Persistent in good works and persistent in prayer.  God will no be put off by your persistence.  As I've discussed before, God does things in his own time.  You can't lose hope.  Hope keeps you coming back.

Be as nice as you want with your friends, be as persistent as you want when trying make sales and, for sure, be persistent with God.  It'll pay off, I'm sure.

Have a blessed weekend.  I love you.
