 Are you "average"?   Is most of what you do "normal"?   Is your city or town pretty much "average"?  

It seems to me that we are fooled by our brains into thinking we are "normal" and somewhat "average."

We think with a personal and local bias.  The world is not a level playing field.   Everyone and every place has differing advantages and disadvantages. 

My guess is, you are not average.  What is normal for you is not normal most others. 

Everyone has talents; everyone!  Some are more evident than others.  Some are more appreciated than others.  Everyone has talents.  

One of the tricks in life is finding your talents and choosing an occupation or, at least, an avocation that is satisfied by them.  Some are lucky enough to stumble into the right position - others are in their waning years before they realize they went through life without doing what really suited them.  

Encourage the young to search within themselves and not be led by extraneous forces without that thought.
